Department of Engineering Physics / Precision Engineering has realized ultimate presicion beyond the conventional limit by understanding of physics. We aim to evolve The Extreme Manufacturing — design and make devices in the atomic scale.

 IT, smart phone, space exploration, biology, medicine. Not only latest sience and technology but also recent familiar electronic devices require our very fine manufacturing. We contribute to development of technology in the all fields.

The Extreme Manufacturing includes three techniques;
  ・Deep understanding of materials.
  ・Machining in the atomic scale
  ・Measure by original methods
Expect the atomic scale physics and material properties by accurate simulation. Realize single-atomic-layer machining basing on physics. Measure the shape and properties by original methods. Here, 8 laboratories study these topics and collaborate with each other, leading to The Extreame Manufacturing.

We can study cutting-edge research and develope high-performance devices in the room.
