After graduating from the Osaka University, where he majored in Precision Engineering, Dr Nakano joined Kobe Steel LTD., Japan and worked on the research of dynamic strength for stractural materials
from 1980 to 1983.
In 1983, he moved to Osaka University and received his Doctor of Engineering in 1990.
He is a member of the DYMAT Association, the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Japan Society of Materials, the Japan Society for Precision Engineering, and the Japan Society of Aeronuetical Engineers.
